A&M-Commerce Students Compete in Concrete Glider Competition

Students from the Department of Engineering and Technology at Texas A&M University-Commerce participated in a concrete glider competition in recognition of Engineers Week, also known as EWeek. EWeek (February 16-22, 2020) was founded in 1951 by the National Society of Professional Engineers in order to ensure a diverse and well-educated future engineering workforce by increasing understanding of and interest in engineering and technology careers. With only four days to build, the teams were challenged to make a glider out of concrete able to support itself in flight. The winning team included A&M-Commerce students Chris Papson, Elmer Benitez, Gerardo Hernandez and Zacchaeus Bell. The students won a Phantom 2 Drone.
