College of Business Students Attend SAS Innovate 2024 Conference

Texas A&M University-Commerce Marketing and Business Analytics Student Organization President Aathira G. Nair and member Rishabh Gupta participated in the highly anticipated SAS Innovate 2024 conference, which took place from April 16 to 19 at the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their attendance was made possible through scholarships awarded to the recipients as part of the A&M-Commerce College of Business’ commitment to providing opportunities for student enrichment and growth.
At the conference, the students engaged in a dynamic gathering featuring keynote speakers, networking opportunities, insightful sessions focused on various SAS platforms and technologies and even interacted with an interactive innovation hub. Notable attendees included leading SAS partners such as Microsoft, Intel and AWS, alongside students and educators from multiple universities nationwide.
Reflecting on her transformative experience, Aathira G. Nair remarked, “As a student attending the power-packed SAS Innovate 2024 conference, I was not just a spectator but a witness to the transformational force of innovation. In the words of Steve Jobs, ‘Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower.’ Today, I choose to lead, inspired by the limitless possibilities I’ve witnessed here.”
She continued by expressing her gratitude to the college for providing students with opportunities outside the classroom to not only educate and equip them with the latest technological advancements but also for transforming their lives.
The SAS Innovate 2024 conference showcased cutting-edge technologies such as SAS Viya, a cloud-native, open platform for data science and analytics. This aligns seamlessly with Texas A&M University-Commerce’s commitment to fostering innovation and equipping students with the latest technologies to explore new horizons and transform lives.
The College of Business’s support in awarding scholarships to Aathira and Rishabh exemplifies its dedication to ensuring that students are equipped with the best resources and opportunities to excel in their academic and professional endeavors.
