Dr. Sarah Rodriguez Receives 2019 ASHE Award

Dr. Sarah Rodriguez, associate professor in the Department of Higher Education & Learning Technologies at A&M-Commerce, was chosen as a 2019 award recipient by the Association for the Study of Higher Education (ASHE). Rodriguez was recognized for her contribution to scholarship on gender issues in higher education, especially in the areas of science identity development among Latinas. Rodriguez also presented her research at the November 14 awards ceremony in Portland. Her lecture was titled “Finding Voice and Power as La Profesora: Reimagining Higher Education Programs as Sites of Resistance.”
