Kappa Delta Hosts Sing Song 2013
The Gamma Upsilon Chapter of Kappa Delta Sorority is hosting their annual Sing Song Shamrock event in Texas A&M University-Commerce's Ferguson Auditorium at 7 p.m. on November 20.
Sing Song 2013, “Billboard Top Hits”, will feature student organizations performing songs from the Billboard charts across all decades. This year's event will be even bigger than last year with nearly 20 full and filler acts competing. The event is held each November to benefit Prevent Child Abuse America. PCAA is an organization that works to raise awareness and prevention of child abuse. It also uses donations to fund housing, meals, healthcare and counseling for women and children who have been victims of domestic violence. All proceeds go to national and local PCAA establishments to better women and children in the Commerce community and across our country.
“We encourage you to join Kappa Delta in making great things happen in the lives of children,” said Shelbea Saunders, Chapter President. “We are proud to support PCAA, and Sing Song is a great way to have fun while doing it!”
To celebrate International Girl's Day, Gamma Upsilon has invited Girl Scouts from across the northeast Texas area to be honorary guests. Children are always the heart of Kappa Delta's philanthropies, and Sing Song is no different.
Tickets will be on pre-sale for $3 from any Kappa Delta, and they are $5 at the door. All students, faculty, staff and community members are welcome to attend. Sing Song is family-friendly, and it will be a night full of fun and entertainment.
