Library Services Survey Winners Announced
The winners of the 2014 Library Services Survey drawing for Texas A&M University-Commerce were announced on May 1. Winners Lary Buras and Dr. Stephen Starnes received iPad minis, Kimberly Stringer received an iPad Air, and John Naizer received the Xbox One. Winners were chosen at random after taking the Library Services Survey between March 17 and April 11.
“This year we had over 2,300 responses to the annual Library Services Survey,” said Megan K. Beard, research and instruction librarian. “I would like to say thank you again to everyone who took the time to complete the survey this year. Your input will help us to continue to grow and improve.”
Surveys such as these help library services continue to improve for students and faculty. The last survey, conducted in 2012, led to many library services improvements, including adding more computers, extending to 24-hour service, the expansion of the Bistro and the addition of EasySearch.
“I wish to extend my congratulations to the winners, and a heartfelt thank you to everyone who took the time to complete the Library Services Survey this year. I am happy that we are able to offer some prizes for the drawing, because I know we get information that is invaluable from the survey,” said Gregory A. Mitchell, director of libraries. “We have made a lot of improvements in the library over the past several years, and many of the ideas came from the input of our students and faculty on the Library Services Survey.”
