Music Department Hosts Believe It Anyway! Event

The Texas A&M University-Commerce Music Department is hosting Believe It Anyway! at 7:30 p.m. April 26 in the Jack and Lou Finney Concert Hall in the music building.

This is a collaborative project with motion pictures by Paul Bryan, Creative Director of the Marketing Communications Department and live chamber music composed by Chris Ramos, senior Music Education major.

“We have devoted ourselves to creating a truly honest look at modern faith and how it relates to some very troubling stories from the Old Testament,” said Bryan. “Sometimes abstract, sometimes whimsical, sometimes frightening, always emotional, viewers should prepare for no less than an audio/visual feast.”

This is the first event of its kind at this university to merge film and live music, all completely original, in one show.

“Through our work, Paul and I have wrestled with some of life's toughest questions, and we hope the audience will embark with us on our quest for answers,” said Ramos. “In such it is a collision of film, music, and the human spirit as a creative and expressive force.”

This event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Paul Bryan at [email protected]. To view the trailer or join the Facebook event, visit http://www.believeitanyway.com.
