Save the Date: Global Business Etiquette
The Texas A&M University-Commerce Career Development department would like you to save the date for its global business etiquette dinner on October 16 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Rayburn Student Center (RSC).
“We live and conduct business in a global society,” said Career Development Director Tina Boitnott. “This is an opportunity to learn about the business and etiquette of other cultures.”
Every year, Career Development sponsors a global business etiquette dinner that focuses on specific traditions of different countries. This year's global etiquette dinner will be based on Hispanic (with a focus on Mexico) business dinner customs and practices. It is meant to be a learning opportunity to teach students proper dining etiquette in a business setting. Sodexo will cater a four-course meal, and guest speaker Claudia Hermann from Dienst International Consulting Services, LLC will make a presentation.
The event is open to students, faculty, staff and the community. Those interested in attending are asked to visit the office of Career Development in the One Stop Shop to reserve a spot for $25. This payment must be made by October 10 to guarantee a seat.
“”We are excited to host a Hispanic business etiquette dinner this fall!” said Assistant Director of Career Development Ashley Ortiz. “It will be an event that captures and broadens global understanding and preparation for the global world.”
