Several athletic training students in the Department of Health and Human Performance at A&M-Commerce received recognition at a reception on April 27.
Five students received the Lone Star Conference Athletic Training Student Academic Award. The award recognizes students with at least 24 student credit hours at A&M-Commerce and a 3.3 GPA or higher. Recipients were Shamon Craver, Courtney Drew, Jhonee’ Simpson, Dejhia Taylor and Ariana Williams.
In addition, three students received recognition for exceptional clinical experiences completed with the athletic training staff and athletic teams. Recipients were Shelby Guin, Most-Outstanding Athletic Training Student; Tori Johnson, Most-Improved Athletic Training Student; and Stephanie Roman-Aguilar, Newcomer of the Year.
