Dean Kimberly McLeod in the College of Education and Human Services at A&M-Commerce will present an online workshop called Racial Justice and Social Emotional Learning. The workshop is scheduled for June 8 from 2:00-3:30 p.m.
The session will provide strategies and changing perspectives for faculty to align campus learning environments with practices and beliefs which enhance and speed up positive academic outcomes that empower both the educator and student.
The workshop is part of the Anti-Racism Professional Educator Webinar Series hosted by the University of Iowa College of Education. The series seeks to identify psychological, social, physical and emotional aspects of racism present in U.S. schools and how they define current schooling practices.
