TAMUC Leadership Class Raises Big Funds for Animal Rescue Organization

The First Year Leadership Class (FLC) at Texas A&M University-Commerce recently spearheaded a major effort to fundraise money and items for Off the Chain Rescue, an animal rescue organization in nearby Cooper, Texas. FLC students ran an animal supply drive and fundraiser as a service project for the class, and in total raised more than $850 in donated funds as well as supplies topping $1,000 in value. Class instructor Coy Martin said he is extremely proud of the work that the small group of students has accomplished. Over the last year, the 10 FLC students cumulatively amassed over 350 community service hours.
