Tupps Brewery Announces Bold Gold Texas Lager In Support of Lion Athletics

COMMERCE – Texas A&M University-Commerce is excited to announce a partnership with TUPPS Brewery and the release of Bold Gold Texas Lager: a licensed beer for Lion fans to enjoy. The beer is now available at TUPPS Brewery in McKinney, Lion Athletics events, and at select stores in East Texas. 

Bold Gold is a crisp, smooth, balanced Texas Lager crafted with precision. With an ABV of 4.6% it can be enjoyed during the game or at home. The Bold Gold can design pays homage to the rich history of Lion Athletics, highlighting past and present while showcasing the blue and gold colors of the university proudly.

They, like Lion Athletics are growing and making an impact in the region and now they are helping to support our student-athletes as well.”

ABOUT TUPPS BREWERY:
TUPPS brewery began in 2009 when Keith Lewis and former partner, Tupper Patnode, brewed their first batch of beer, with a home brew Christmas gift from Keith’s wife, Pam. They enjoyed the process and creativity, so they began brewing every weekend with Keith’s son Chris, now the Head Brewer. Eventually, they realized they could turn this hobby into a business. Fast forward to 2015, they found a great location, built the brewery with their bare hands, and opened! Along the way, Keith’s oldest son Chase and daughter Katie joined the expanding business.

In early 2024, TUPPS Brewery moved down the road to a 4-acre property which features a restored 120-year-old grain mill taproom, restaurant, state of the art brewery, a children’s area, stage and plenty of green space. The family business grew organically because of a love of beer, people, and fun!

TUPPS Brewery is located 402 E Louisiana St., McKinney, TX 75069. Taproom is open 6 days a week Tuesday to Thursday 11am to 10pm, Friday and Saturday from 11am – 11pm and Sunday from 11am – 10pm.
