University Student Named Nancy Larson Foundation Scholar

The Nancy Larson Foundation has named Texas A&M University-Commerce student, LaShuna Anderson, as a Nancy Larson Foundation Scholar. The foundation awards the $1,000 scholarship, annually, to deserving students studying elementary education. Anderson was selected for her inspiring personal narrative, excellent academic record and community service.

“We get so many excellent applicants, but LaShuna has such a passion for teaching and for children,” said Nancy Larson. “It is clear to us from her story that she is organized, confident, compassionate and adaptive. These are all traits that will really help her become the excellent teacher she wishes to be.”

Anderson is one of nine students selected as a Nancy Larson Foundation Scholar. Juniors, seniors and graduate students studying elementary education are invited to apply.
