
University Vocal Students Undertake Area Performance Tour
Two dozen students from the East Texas A&M University School of Music embarked on a performance and recruitment tour through North Texas. 23 vocal students and one piano student traveled to high schools in Royse City, Mesquite, Princeton and Anna to perform selected works that showcase the talent on display at ETAMU. Their performances covered a wide range of choral, solo, operatic and musical theater repertoire. Their tour was first reported in the Royse City Herald-Banner newspaper. Lion vocalists recently earned high marks at the National Association of Teachers of Singing Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter Vocal Competition. In total, East Texas A&M students secured 13 of the finalist places across seven divisions and two categories.
