Where Are They Now?
Brandy and Wilfred Zoungrana met at A&M-Commerce in 2013. Less than a decade after graduation, they bought their dream house and had their 3 daughters: Hazielle, Adar and Hasadia. This is what they had to say about their time with us and where they are now.
Brandy: “I obtained my social work degree in 2015 from A&M-Commerce. In 2016, I became a Texas Works Advisor for Texas Health and Human Services. I processed eligibility determinations for social service programs and was able to help those in need who were facing trying times. In 2018, I transferred to the Family Department of Family Protective Services and became an eligibility specialist for children who had been removed from their homes. I was responsible for providing them with Medicaid while in our care and keeping up with their yearly reviews. In 2020, I became the supervisor of four departments including Social Security, Billing, Adoption and Foster Care. Although this comes with challenges, I find great joy in helping those in need.”
Wilfred: “A&M-Commerce will put a lot into you and it's up to you to put it to good use. “To whom much is given much will be required” (Luke 12:48). I started as a staff accountant and became a finance professional leader within the aerospace industry by overseeing international locations in France, Germany, Mexico, Thailand and the United States. In my experience, your knowledge will guide you to the right opportunity but your attitude and resilience will set you apart from your peers and open more doors than you can imagine.”
