Yoga on the Lawn
The Texas A&M University-Commerce department of Health and Human Performance-Fitness & Recreational Activity would like to invite faculty, staff, students, and community members to join them in being active through practicing yoga together on October 23.
“The thought of practicing yoga is intimidating to some,” said Lauren Rhodes, FRA Coordinator. “We are hosting this event in hopes of reaching individuals that have never had the opportunity to participate in a yoga practice as well as yogis that want to share their practice with the university community and the community of Commerce.”
Beginning at 8 am at the University Amphitheater, free classes will be held every hour on the hour with the last session starting at 11 am. Mats will be provided along with music, multiple yoga sequences, and positive energy from instructors.
Participants are invited to stay for a class, part of a class, or several classes, whichever works best for their schedules.
