The Department of Institutional Effectiveness and Research serves A&M-Commerce in a variety of capacities to ensure student success and promote strategic planning and continuous data-driven improvement.

To empower the university community to use data and analytics to make evidence-based decisions through the continuous exercise of institutional assessment endeavors. We plan to do this by

Utilizing the Nuventive Improvement Platform – New Users & Refresher Training (Virtual)
April 26, 2023 – 11:00 am-12:00 noon
The university’s tool for managing annual assessment reporting is the Nuventive™ Improvement Platform. This training will cover basic navigation features of the assessment platform for new users. The training also serves as a refresher course of the basics for current users. Offered in a live, web-based facilitation via Zoom, the training is primarily for IE Authors responsible for their academic program or support unit report for the 2022-2023 Cycle, but can be beneficial to all users. Completion of this training is required for all new users via this virtual offering or the TrainTraq course to gain full user access to the platform. REGISTER HERE

Completing Your Annual IE Report in Nuventive for the 22-23 IE Cycle

This training will provide a walk-through of the steps in the Nuventive™ Improvement Platform to enter information required for your annual IE report, including 22-23 results data and any updates of assessment plan information. The training is primarily for IE Authors responsible for their academic program or support unit report for the 2022-2023 Cycle, but can be beneficial to all users. Nuventive IE Report Come and Go Working Session

The Institutional Effectiveness Team is available in person (in a computer lab setting) to help you work on completion of your IE Assessment Reports for the 22-23 Cycle. Held in conjunction with Completing Your Annual IE Report in Nuventive trainings also held in-person. REGISTER HERE

IE Reviewer Training – Nuventive Navigation and Review Completion

The University's tool for managing annual assessment reporting is the Nuventive™ Improvement Platform. The IE Representatives, Department Heads/Direct Supervisors, and Deans/Vice Presidents responsible for review and oversight of IE reports within their college or division have access to a variety of reports to help them monitor submission status and monitor review status following the May 31st due date of the annual assessment (IE) reports submitted by IE Authors. This interactive training will cover navigating the review/approval area, monitoring submission status and monitoring review status. (If virtual, offered in a live, web-based facilitation via Zoom.) IE Reviewer Training – Using the Assessment Rubric (Virtual)
June 9, 2023 – 11:00 am-12:00 noon
The University's tool for managing annual assessment reporting is the Nuventive™ Improvement Platform. Following the May 31st due date for the annual assessment (IE) reports submitted by IE Authors, these reports will be reviewed by IE Representatives and Department Heads/Direct Supervisors using the rubric tool within Nuventive. This course will train IE Reviewers how to use the rubric to evaluate the quality of an assessment report and will feature a discussion of the rubric items and applied examples. The training will be offered in a live, web-based facilitation via Zoom for IE Representatives and Department Heads/Direct Supervisors responsible for the IE reports review. REGISTER HERE
