If you want to have a great time on campus, you need to get involved in some way. If you just stay in your dorm all the time, you won’t have any fun, but once you get involved you’ll find that there is so much fun to experience on campus!

Nathan Burt grew up on a farm seven miles outside of Commerce, Texas, where he still lives and raises cattle today! After graduating high school in 2014, he attended A&M-Commerce (now East Texas A&M) to pursue a degree in music education. Despite his love for music, he quickly discovered that it was not the career for him. He switched his major to agriculture science and technology with teaching certification. After graduating from A&M-Commerce, he and his wife, Kenzie—also an A&M-Commerce alum—moved to Quanah, Texas, to begin their teaching careers. A few years later they settled back in Commerce with their son, Kyle.
Nathan enjoys spending time with his son working on the farm. He's also known to play Magic the Gathering with friends at Brigandry Games in Greenville or play video games at home.

I advise students about classes they should take to complete their major. As an academic advisor, students will meet with me to discuss classes they need to take to complete their major quickly and efficiently.
