We offer one-on-one, 45-minute sessions, both in-person and online! Our online sessions take place in WCOnline, a platform that provides audio, video, screen sharing and a shared document so writers and consultants can collaborate. Both face-to-face and online sessions are booked in WCOnline.

Make an Appointment

Our one-on-one sessions with writers—both face-to-face and online—begin on the hour and last up to 45 minutes. You cannot sign up for back-to-back appointments (for instance, you cannot sign up for sessions at both 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.), but you may sign up for as many appointments as you'd like each day and week.

Our open sessions are available for you to book from now through the end of the semester!

To make an appointment

  1. Register for an account with WCOnline
  2. Log in to see our schedule
  3. Book an available appointment
  4. For an online session, return to the schedule and click on your appointment to begin your session. For a face-to-face session, we'll see you at the Writing Center at the start of your appointment.

If you'd like assistance in making an appointment or a live tutorial of the online tutoring platform, you can visit us in person (103 Talbot Hall), call (903.886.5280) or email ([email protected]).

New Policy: Each semester, you may miss one appointment with no penalty. If you miss TWO appointments, your Writing Center Online (WCOnline) account will be frozen for the remainder of the semester, meaning you will not be able to use the Writing Center until the next semester or Summer I begins.

Canceling sessions is easy! If you need assistance, visit, call or email us, or you can see the instructions in our guidebook section below.

Welcome from the Writing Center Director

Since 1977, the Writing Center at A&M-Commerce has supported the writing of students, faculty and staff. We welcome writing projects at any stage, from brainstorming to polishing. We are also here to coach you through writing-heavy semesters and long projects (like theses, dissertations or book projects). We believe writing is learned best in inquisitive collaboration and understand our role primarily as readers who provide interested, thoughtful and open-minded responses. We are writers ourselves, and as such, we learn both from and alongside the writers that visit the Center. We value every literacy background writers bring to the Center, from vocabularies, dialects, and languages used at home, work, school and from regions and/or nations not our own. Our goal is to support you in bringing your writing skills to different contexts and practicing new skills along the way. In one-on-one sessions, we discuss the writing project, process, context and possibilities, aiming to support writers in developing and accomplishing their unique writing goals.
