ETAMU Engineering Students Selected for Prestigious Scholarship
Two East Texas A&M engineering students recently received scholarships from the Texas Society of Professional Engineers Northeast Texas Chapter.
Micaila Patterson and Xavier Ramirez were selected for the Texas Engineering Foundation's prestigious 2025 undergraduate scholarship. The scholarship supports full-time undergraduate students enrolled in ABET-accredited engineering programs. Recipients are selected based on academic standing, financial need and potential contributions to the engineering profession.
Patterson is a sophomore working toward a bachelor's degree in construction engineering. Ramirez, a sophomore, is pursuing a bachelor's in electrical engineering.
“Micaila and Xavier have demonstrated outstanding academic achievements and a strong commitment to the engineering field,” said Dr. Burchan Aydin, associate professor and head of the Department of Engineering and Technology at East Texas A&M. “This scholarship recognizes their hard work and potential, and we are proud to see our students being supported in their journey toward becoming engineering leaders.”
