Kehlei DeClue discovered A&M-Commerce in a roundabout way. She is from Jacksonville, Florida and fell in love with Texas during her visits to see family living here. She relocated and decided she would go to college to continue her education. That’s when she discovered A&M-Commerce. Everyone she spoke to had amazing things to say about the university. She not only applied and was accepted, but she also landed her current job as an employment coordinator on campus. As an Employment Coordinator for A&M-Commerce she supports talent acquisition by helping move forward staff and student candidates in the hiring process. So, with the process of hiring staff and student in HR Kahlei is available to help approve the interview process and procedure, background checks, meetings with position search committees and processing everything before the applicant's onboarding begins. We have four Employment Coordinators that work on hiring for all Faculty, Staff, adjuncts, and students. Kahlei loves A&M-Commerce and her work here. Her professional goal is to continue growing and taking advantage of the many opportunities A&M-Commerce offers. Kahlei believes it’s important to invest in yourself and take the time to learn and take steps toward your goals. A&M-Commerce is the perfect place to do that!

How can I help you?

I help students who are looking for campus jobs. I work through the pre-hire process, making sure everything is good to go for their onboarding opportunities. I’m happy to help answer students’ questions, even if I’m still learning some things myself.

A&M-Commerce is an amazing university with lots of opportunities! There's a great campus life, wonderful resources and always something to do.
