My approach to therapy is empathetic, using a culturally appropriate, trauma-informed, gender and sexuality-affirming lens. My theoretical framework is integrative to meet the needs of my clients, often working from a person-centered, social justice and feminist theoretical orientation.

A Conversation with Juliana

What is your approach to therapy?

My approach to therapy is empathetic, using a culturally appropriate, trauma-informed, gender and sexuality-affirming lens. My theoretical framework is integrative to meet the needs of my clients, often working from a person-centered, social justice and feminist theoretical orientation. Additionally, I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy skills and techniques to help clients challenge and reframe negative thoughts, beliefs and behaviors. I believe my role as a therapist is to be my clients’ advocate, guiding them toward positive change specific to their life issues. Whether you are looking to explore your experience or have specific mental health concerns, I want to center what matters to you. We will work together to identify your personal goals and determine the best way to achieve them.
