Danna Beaty, is an active member of the American Educational Research Association and many of the special interest groups related to her research interests: the superintendency, gender issues, school improvement and leadership preparation. She has served on multiple committees and three terms as program chair in recent years. Beaty's work has been featured in journals including the Journal of School Leadership, Journal of Educational Administration, Journal of Research in Leadership Education, and the Journal of Women in Educational Leadership.
