Who We Are

Our creative team builds university recognition through strategic marketing and communications. We are brand ambassadors, protecting and promoting our university’s unique identity. Through press releases, ad campaigns, web communications, social media messages, and more, we shine a light on our university and show the world what it means to be an East Texas A&M Lion.

How These Guides Can Help You

Brand Guidelines

Our brand is more than a logo. It's the sum of every individual's perception and experience when they interact with us.

Together, we craft this experience by following the same high-quality design standards to create a unified presence. Topics include step-by-step instructions and examples for utilizing our brand voice, color palette, university fonts and approved logos.

Writing Guidelines

A strong representation of the East Texas A&M brand begins with how we write about the university. This writing reference guide is designed to help you write on-brand content for and about East Texas A&M, including newsletters, web pages, social media posts, flyers and posters.

Photo and Video Services

Your team is doing exciting work, and it deserves to be seen.

Photography and Videography services offered by the Office of Marketing and Communications (Marcomm) are intended to showcase East Texas A&M’s people, places and events for the purpose of increasing the university’s overall visibility and brand recognition. Before requesting services, consider your end goal: are you looking to market your unit and the strategic plan for ETAMU? Or are you instead hoping to archive your work for future Lions to enjoy?

Marcomm resources are finite. We focus on marketing what makes our university community unique, positioning ETAMU for attracting prospective students, aligning with our mission and meeting our strategic plan goals. While we can't personally attend and document every event across campus for archiving purposes, we can help you strategize, offer guidance on concepts and solutions, and empower you to capture and emphasize what you know best: the people and events that make your unit special.

Not marketing? That's okay! For questions about donating your unit’s photos, videos, and documents preserving ET history, contact the East Texas A&M University Archives.

News Releases and Social Media

The Office of Marketing and Communications shares exciting stories about how our faculty, staff, students and alumni are positively impacting the world. Our News Releases and Social Media guides walk you through the process of submitting story ideas for traditional news releases as well as bite-sized posts on the university’s official social media accounts.

Templates

Customize and download pre-made East Texas A&M templates. Create your email signature, CV, Powerpoint presentation, social media profile icon and department letterhead. Also download branded phone wallpapers and Zoom backgrounds.

WordPress Editor’s Guide

As an East Texas A&M faculty or staff member, you can use your university credentials to log into our website editor and propose changes. This step-by-step guide walks you through how to submit webpage revisions through WordPress. Learn the basics, such as correcting typos, to more dynamic updates, such as adding buttons, content blocks, images and FAQs. Once your revision is submitted, it’s off to Marcomm for review and approval.
