Matthew Starek

Matthew Starek was born and raised in East Texas in the Cedar Creek Lake area. He began his college career at Trinity Valley Community College after graduating from Mabank High School in 2010. Starek began studying at East Texas A&M in 2012 and received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting in 2014. Starek went on to earn his Master of Science in Accounting from East Texas A&M and Texas CPA license the following year.

Since beginning his career in public accounting at Saville, Dodgen, & Company in August 2014, Starek has enjoyed working with international clients by assisting in planning cross-border entity structures and transactions, navigating complex IRS compliance rules related to foreign activity reporting, and playing the role of mentor and coach to new staff.

Starek also serves professional services clients such as engineering firms, dentist offices and law firms by providing effective solutions in the areas of tax planning, tax compliance and financial analysis and budgeting.

Starek enjoys spending time with his family and friends doing outdoor activities such as hiking and fishing, learning the guitar and singing karaoke. He enjoys learning about other cultures through international travel and has studied Spanish while traveling abroad.
