TAMUC Alum Gentry “Ace” Little Begins 42nd Year as Sports Broadcaster

A&M-Commerce alumnus Gentry “Ace” Little is beginning his 42nd year as a Dallas-area sports broadcaster. He has covered more than 1,700 games throughout his award-winning career for schools including Stanton, Big Spring, Woodward, Weatherford, Aledo, Mineral Wells, Bridgeport, Brock, Springtown and Azle. Little began his broadcasting career in 1982 at KETR on the A&M-Commerce campus. He is currently the voice of the Crowley Eagles, south of Fort Worth.

Among his numerous accolades, Little was honored in February 2023 by Crowley ISD for calling 1,700 games. He was also recognized by Texas Governor Greg Abbott in 2016 for 35 years in high school broadcasting; honored by the Texas House of Representatives and Senate in 2011 for calling 900 games; and named Texas High School Broadcaster of the Year in 2006 by Texas Monthly.

Little graduated from A&M-Commerce (then East Texas State University) in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science in Radio and Television. Bally Sports Southwest recently produced a news video celebrating Little's accomplishments.
