TAMUC Rodeo Athlete Featured on the Cowboy Channel

Texas A&M University-Commerce Rodeo team member Océane Veilleux was recently interviewed for a segment on the Cowboy Channel, a 24-hour television network dedicated to western sports and the western lifestyle that is available in 42 million homes, according to the network’s website. The Quebec native was featured in the network’s Western Sports Roundup block in March 2024. Veilleux competes in Barrel Racing events both at the collegiate level for A&M-Commerce and professionally with the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA). At the collegiate level, she took first place at the Lions’ home rodeo in Sulphur Springs, Texas in February 2024, and as of April 2, 2024, currently sits in first place of the WPRA’s Resistol Rookie standings in Barrel Racing with a prize total of $19,345.03 from 29 total events.
