Top 10% Day

The Texas A&M University-Commerce Office of Undergraduate Admissions held Top 10% Day on October 14 with over 60 students from 19 area schools in attendance.

“We were so excited with this year's group of attendees,” said Jody Todhunter, Director of Undergraduate Admissions. “We had the largest group in attendance in the three years since we've had this program on campus.”

The program is held to host students who are in the perspective top ten percent of their high school class. Students in the local, A&M-Commerce service area were invited to come to campus for a day filled with information about scholarships, financial aid, a campus tour and lunch.

The Undergraduate Admissions Office also partnered with the Honors College to show case their program and for students to learn about the application process. The departments of University-College Success Coaches, Residential Living and Learning, Hispanic Outreach and Campus Life were all highlighted at Top 10% Day to provide information about their offices and the services they provide to students who attend A&M-Commerce.

This event gives local students the chance to visit the campus and see all of the opportunities that A&M-Commerce could offer them upon graduation. Another Top 10% Day has been scheduled for November 25, and the UA office has invited even more students to campus for that day.
