Financial Aid Advisor II

As a financial aid advisor in the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships, Jamie guides students through the financial aid process. Jamie's mother—her role model—has always encouraged Jamie to pursue her goals and never give up, even when obstacles block her path to success. Jamie hopes to spread that message to students as she helps them achieve their academic goals.

What would you tell a student who is thinking about attending A&M-Commerce?

I would tell them that they are choosing an amazing school. As a former A&M-Commerce student, I know from experience that everyone at A&M-Commerce is here to help you achieve your goals.

What do you like most about being a financial aid advisor?

I like that I am able to help students and steer them in the right direction in the financial aid process.

How do you help students in your current role?

I help students by processing their grants and advising them on the questions they may have about financial aid.

How did you become a financial aid advisor?

I decided to become a financial aid advisor after my experience as a student here at A&M-Commerce. I wanted to help current and future students reach their educational goals like I did!

What is an important life lesson you have learned?

Keep moving, keep trying and never give up!
