Dr. Sharon Kowalsky Awarded Fellowship to Conduct Research in Helsinki
Associate Professor of History and Director of Gender Studies Dr. Sharon Kowalsky will be a visiting fellow for the Aleksanteri Institute of the University of Helsinki in 2018-2019 to conduct research on domestic and interpersonal violence in early-twentieth-century Russia. She is one of only 16 scholars worldwide selected for this honor out of an applicant pool of over 250.
High Education and Learning Technologies Faculty Receive Awards From Korean-American Research Association
Dr. Katie Koo, and Dr. Kibum Kwon, assistant professors for the Department of Higher Education and Learning Technologies, received the 2018 Young Scholar Best Research Award for their research from the Korean American Education Research Association (KAERA).
Dr. Brittany Hott Awarded Grant For Educational Research in Local School Districts
Dr. Brittany Hott, associate professor of special education, received a grant from the American Educational Research Association's Education Research Service Projects (ERSP) Initiative. The grant will fund the study of rural special education programs.
Nursing Professors Receive Awards at Sigma 30th Anniversary Celebration and Award Ceremony
Two nursing professors received awards at the Sigma 30th anniversary celebration and awards ceremony on April 10. Dr. Carole McKenzie, nursing department associate professor, received the “Excellence in Nursing Education” award. Dr. Halli Carr, nursing department instructor, received the “Excellence in Clinical Practice” award.
