Our TRIO Student Support Services Program (SSS) is designed to provide academic support to enrolled A&M-Commerce students who meet eligibility requirements. The purpose of SSS is to help you keep moving forward toward graduation day. Our services help equip you with the academic skills and tools you need to succeed. They also increase the overall retention rate of students at A&M-Commerce.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the TRIO Student Support Services Program, an applicant must:
- Be a citizen or national of the United States or meet the residency requirements for federal student financial assistance.
- Be enrolled at the grantee institution or accepted for enrollment in the next academic term at the institution.
- Have a need for academic support, as determined by the grantee, in order to successfully pursue a post-secondary education program. Specifically, an applicant must be a first-generation student, meet federal income requirements or have a documented disability. Two-thirds of all accepted participants must be low-income and first-generation.
