Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the TRiO – Upward Bound “Pre-Collegiate” Program, applicants must:

  • Be a citizens or national of the United States
  • Be a potential first-generation college student or meet low income qualifications
  • Demonstrate a need for academic support
  • Be a high school 9th -11th grader

Two-thirds of all accepted participants must be low-income and first generation. See Federal Register Part III Department of Education 34 CFR Part 645.3
