Through Upward Bound at A&M-Commerce, you will experience instructional programming on a variety of academic, college readiness and leadership topics including college tours, scholarship information, TAKS preparation, PSAT/SAT/ACT preparation and more as you prepare for your future..

Services

We render services that will empower families, build leadership skills, encourage communities, and nurture students academically and socially. You will receive necessary skills to be successful in high school and obtain a college degree.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the TRiO – Upward Bound “Pre-Collegiate” Program, applicants must:

  • Be a citizens or national of the United States
  • Be a potential first-generation college student or meet low income qualifications
  • Demonstrate a need for academic support
  • Be a high school 9th -11th grader

Two-thirds of all accepted participants must be low-income and first generation. See Federal Register Part III Department of Education 34 CFR Part 645.3
