Growing up in a middle school teacher's family in China, Mei Jiang, Ph.D., learned from her mom that the best teachers teach from the heart, not from a book. That’s why she cares for students' learning and growth. As an assistant professor in the Department of Psychology and Special Education at A&M-Commerce, Jiang’s professional goals are to disseminate knowledge and nurture students' intellectual, cultural and social growth to prepare them for real-world challenges. Her personal goals are to travel to different countries and taste different foods. She has experienced many diverse cultures in her travels, including Iceland and Vanuatu.
