Our M.S. in Technology Management helps you gain the expertise to lead technology initiatives and drive innovation in various industries. You'll build key skills in leadership, strategy, and project management while also learning to manage cutting-edge technologies like AI and the Internet of Things. Stem-Designated Degree

The M.S. in Technology Management program is a STEM-designated program. F-1 students who receive STEM degrees may apply for a 24-month extension of their post-completion optional practical training (OPT). OPT is an extension and advantage of F-1 student status, allowing you to stay in the U.S. to work in your area of study after finishing your academic program. Program Overview

The M.S. in Technology Management program equips you with key skills in strategic planning, leadership, project management and emerging technologies. You can:

  • Develop organizational strategies through SWOT analysis, risk management, and strategic initiatives.
  • Gain an understanding of and evaluate emerging technologies, including AI, autonomous vehicles, IoT and more.
  • Hone leadership skills to manage teams, drive technological change, and lead in diverse cultural environments.
  • Master project management tools and techniques including work breakdown structures, scheduling, risk management, and cost control.
  • Apply staff development methods focusing on diversity, communication, and ethical leadership.
  • Gain expertise in vendor management, value chain analysis, and global business culture.

Provisional Status

After you submit your application, you may be granted provisional status, which means you can enroll in one semester of courses. You will not be eligible for financial aid until you submit all of your documents and are accepted into the program.

  • We recommend that you request transcripts for all of your academic work.

All international transcripts must be evaluated and the evaluation submitted to the Graduate School.

We accept evaluations sent directly from the following Agencies.

  • If a normal evaluation is submitted, official original transcripts with all marksheets will still need to be submitted.
  • If a WES ICAP or equivalent is submitted, we will not need the official transcripts to be submitted separately.

Describe your preparation for graduate work and your academic interests and goals in no more than 500 words.

Submit a resume or curriculum vitae (CV) which includes your academic and professional history and achievements.

You do not need to submit GRE scores if you have:

  • a completed bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited U.S. university with a 3.00 GPA overall or higher
  • a completed master’s degree from a regionally accredited university with a 3.00 GPA overall or higher

If you do not meet the GPA exemption criteria, request that your GRE® scores be sent to Texas A&M University-Commerce (6188) when you register for the test. If you have already taken the GRE®, you can order additional score reports.

  • Once an admission decision has been made, you will receive an email to your student email account at myLeo > Apps > Leomail.

  • Apply for scholarships and graduate assistantships once you are admitted.
  • Apply for financial aid by submitting a FAFSA and sending it to school code 003565.
  • Contact your financial aid advisor with any questions.

  • IELTS (Minimum Score: 6.00 band overall)
  • PTE (Minimum Score: 53 overall or higher)
  • Duo Lingo (Minimum Score: 105)

*Scores must be less than two years old.

Submit these documents to the Office of International Programs once you have been admitted

  • Official sponsor statement
  • Bank statement from the sponsor with a balance of at least $33,601 USD which is less than six months old
